Changing permission levels

Administrators with vault management permissions may adjust user permissions within a vault. Users can be assigned as Operators with Initiate only or Initiate and approve privileges.

Assigning a user to a vault as an Operator

Navigate to vault users

Tap the desired vault, then tap the settings icon in the upper right corner and select the Users section.

Add the user

Tap Add user and select the user or users to add to the vault.

Set privileges

To change a user’s privileges from Initiate and approve to Initiate only, tap the user, select Initiate only, and tap Save changes.

Submit the operation

After finishing the changes, tap Done. Add a comment (optional) and tap Review to submit the operation. The other administrators will receive a notification to approve; once quorum is met, Anchorage Digital will review for approval.

Assigning a user as an administrator

Administrators may increase or decrease a user’s permissions to administrator by adding them to the administrator policy.

Navigate to Administrator policy

Tap Administrator policy under Policies, then select Users.

Add the user

Tap the three dots and select Add user. Select the user to add as an administrator and follow the prompts.

Set administrator permissions

Users can be added with Initiate only or Initiate and approve permissions. If added with Initiate and approve, they will be added to the default rule of the administrator policy: Any admin operation.Alternatively, edit the policy’s rules to more granularly configure which rules the new user will be added to.

Submit for approval

Tap Finish and review to submit biometric approval. Quorum approval is required. Once quorum is met, Anchorage Digital will review for approval.

Removing users

Only administrators with user management permissions can remove users.

Navigate to Team settings

Tap the gear icon to go to Settings, scroll down, and tap Team.

Select the user

Select the user you want to remove and follow the prompts.

Submit biometric approval

After submitting biometric approval, the other administrators will receive a notification to approve the operation. Once quorum is met, Anchorage Digital will review for approval.

Device replacement

If a user loses access to their device, administrators can initiate a device replacement operation.

Replacing a lost device

When a user no longer has access to their old device:

Install the app on the new device

On the new device, tap your profile in the App Store, then tap Apps. Search for Anchorage Digital and install the mobile app.

Contact Anchorage Digital

Contact accountexecutive@anchorage.com to initiate the device replacement operation. The old iPhone will be marked as lost.

Administrator initiates replacement

An administrator with user management permissions must go to Settings, tap Team, then tap Lost device next to the user’s name. Finally, tap Set up new device.

Share QR code with user

Once Set up new device is tapped, share the QR code with the user to scan.

Submit biometric approval

The administrator who initiated the operation must go to the Activity tab, tap the operation, and submit biometric approval.

Await quorum and Anchorage Digital approval

Administrators will receive a notification to approve the operation. Once quorum is met, Anchorage Digital will review for approval.
Only administrators with user management permissions can initiate and approve the replacement operation.

Replacing a device with access to your old device

If you still have access to your old device and are keeping the same Apple ID used to initially download the app, a re-download is not needed.

Install the app on the new device (if needed)

If using a different Apple ID on the new device, install the Anchorage Digital app from the App Store.

Initiate replacement from old device

On the old device, go to Settings and tap Replace my device to generate a QR code.

Scan the QR code on the new device

In the app on the new device, scan the QR code generated by the old device.

Submit biometric authentication on the old device

Follow the instructions and submit biometric authentication on the old device.

Request quorum approval

Ask the quorum administrators for approval. Once quorum is met, Anchorage Digital will review for approval.
If you are using a different Apple ID on the new device, contact Anchorage Digital—the regular download process will need to be followed.

Re-installing or updating the iOS app

If you are using the same device and Apple ID that was used to initially download the app, simply update or re-download the app from the App Store. No device replacement process is needed. For any issues with re-installation or access recovery, contact accountexecutive@anchorage.com.
